Nautical Headband Tutorial: And then I made

Okay this is super easy, you will be so surprised- it takes less than 15 minutes!! 

You could easily make 4 during nap time!

You will need:

an old soft cotton (jersey) t-shirt 

that you can shred up

Hot Glue

Scissors

 t-shirt to cut up

 I cut just below the arm holes

 cut the strips into 1 inch strips

(they don't need to be perfectly straight, unless you are OCD)

 snip off the ends

 pull and stretch the material and then pull it again

 take two of the strips, make sure you place the LEFT side over the right side to make a loop

 place the other two strips in a U ON TOP of the first strips

 getting trickier: place left side of the U under the left side of the first loop bottom

then lay the rest on TOP of the first loop piece

 trickiest: grab right side of the U put it UNDER the first side of the loop piece.

over the middle piece of the original U and under the top side of the loop.

got it?

 then gently pull the ends

 cut an additional piece of fabric to the desired length an glue down the ends

(make sure you snip the ends so they are even.)

 fold over the top of your fabric to cover the inside and glue it down!

 fold the other side over and glue glue glue

(I fill in any additional holes with glue, then tug to make sure no pieces are loose.)

I made the smaller size ones for my friends babies.

When they get me pictures, you can have a cuter model!
