Little Lion Man:: Halloween 2012

We had a great October and I am so excited for the Winter Holidays! Here are a few pictures from our Halloween traditions!

7 Months!

I cannot believe Archer is 7 months! He is the best little dude, ever. I am so in love with him and am beyond grateful every day to be his Momma.

At 7 Months:
-Reach and switch hands with toys, which instantly go in his mouth.
-Eats anything you will give him.
-Drinks 8oz bottles in under 2 minutes
-So close to crawling, gets up and rocks back and foward
-Seasoned sitter
-LOVES Marley, and tries to lick her all the time.
-Rolls all around my house
-when he talks he does this serious look and low voice and yells, hilarious.
-loves his Mommy, but him and his Daddy have the most amazing bond. I love watching them play.
-Bedtime around 8:30, last night he slept until 6am... first time ever, through the night- and went back to sleep until 8:30a with a bottle.
-Takes 2 naps
-I measured him and he is roughly 29in and weighs about 21 pounds to my best guesses

Archie,
You truly are the light of my and your Dads lives, we can't imagine our world without you in it. You are so special to us and we are so lucky to be your parents, each day watching you grow and learn is the most humbling experience. I am so proud of everything you do and want to video every moment or snap a picture. You are close to saying Hi and Dada I think you have said them, but don't really know what they are yet- but you are understanding so much! Oh yeah, you LOVE Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Octonauts. You cute little dimpled smile melts my heart and you quickly get what you want, I am truly wrapped around your tiny fingers.

Six Months

Archer had his six month check up today!
He is doing great and growing just right!

He is:
19lbs 74%
28Inches 84%

Archer can:
Roll every direction
Laughs
Tries to talk to you
Very vocal about his food when he eats
Gets up on his knees and scoots forward
Has started this new squeaky squealing noise that is pure joy
Eats 8 oz bottles in under 2 minutes
Is already grown out of most 6-9 month clothes
Loves to play with toys
Loves to interact with other babies and kids
Sits all by himself
Loves his jumper
Loves Marley Parley
Not so sure about juice
Knows who Momma and Daddy are
Likes too be bounced on the bed
Likes to be flown around like super baby
Laughs at fake coughs and sneezes
No teeth yet, just insane amounts of drool

I can't think of anything else right now.

All you really need to know is, he is the most amazing boy-best thing to ever happen to our lives. He is such a happy little dude! I can't even describe the love I have for my child, words could not adequately do it justice. He teaches me something everyday, and when I hold him while he is sleeping at night- I count my blessing. I am so grateful to be a Mother.

Aden and Anais Security Blanket Review

I purchased Archer's security blanket at Target, you can get them online as well.

In using them the last week and half I have found that Archer likes them, but he still loves NuNu best.
In the car he typically has NuNu snuggled under one arm and his A&A security blanket in his other up against his face. The fabric is the soft muslin, which is what attracts me to this particular brand, lined with silk. I like it because it is breathable and not long enough to worry me about suffocation.

I don't let him sleep with any blankets, a girl here in Utah suffocated just last week on a swaddle blanket. I do put Archie in a Halo Sleep Sack and have either used that or the Miracle Blanket since he was born. Now that he can roll, my anxiety goes up a bit with keeping anything in his crib.

 but... NuNu usually wins out for cuddle time.

All in all I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a breathable security blanket.

It lives up to it's name and is a perfect size to keep stashed in your diaper bag and you get two in one pack!

Five Months!

My dude is five months!

He grows, changes, and learns new things every day! I am so in love with him!

Archer at 5 months:

Rolls every direction
Inch Worms to get where he wants to go
Bears weight and stands with assistance
Sits by himself for about 30seconds
Laughs at Marley, his doggy
Grabs anything he can and immediately tries to eat it.
Smiles whenever he wakes up from a nap or bed.
Eats rice cereal, bananas, sweet potatoes, squash, and peaches
Loves to hold his bottle
Working on holding his training sippy
Loves his Nunu
Hasn't had collic for the last 6 weeks
Still on Zantec
Growls constantly
Always talking
Drools like crazy
Starting to get more hair
Loves splashing in the bath
Loves Momma and Daddy
Is always flailing
Has the prettiest blue eyes ever
Likes Moms iPhone already(agh)
Still wakes up twice a night


I am guessing he is up in weight by the switch to size 3 diapers, he is a little longer too, but not much!

-Started to fight the "going to bed" holding position. 

-Tricking him to sleep

-Loves, loves, loves baths.

-Sleeps in his Crib

-Acid Reflux

-Still likes to be rocked like he is on a roller coaster

-Loves being outside, it always calms him down

-When I kiss his cheeks he always turns and gives me big slobbery kisses

-Biggest Blue eyes ever. 

-Drooling monster

-Spit Up King

-Enfamil AR 

-Starting to transition from Bf to Formula

-Likes standing and sitting up better than laying down

-Great at focusing on things

-Can grab a toy and bring it to his mouth

-Reaches

-Again so so active and interactive

I think that is the majority of it! 

Archer is such an incredible blessing in our lives. I couldn't be happier being his Momma. Granted we have had ups and downs and Arch likes things done his way, but he has been the King of the house ever since he was born. The only thing he isn't picky about is food. He is typically a happy, flailing baby, unless he is hungry- we always joke that he has two levels 1 and 10, and when he is at a 10- you best be getting him food! I love him more than words could ever say, I miss him when he naps, but am always grateful to sit down for a minute. My life has changed immensely over the past couple months, but I wouldn't change it for the world. Loving my crazy beautiful boy.

Being a Mom

I never knew or expected being a mother could feel so amazing. I love my sweet boy more than three simple words could ever say. I am so proud he is mine and I am cherishing everyday, wishing that he could stay little always. Knowing full well he will always be my baby.
